What an affiliate link is
When a link to a vendor is an affiliate link and you go on to buy, the vendor may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. Affiliate links on this site are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored", as search engines ask, and pass through a short redirect under /go/.
Which vendors pay us
At the time of writing, Ellty is the only vendor with an affiliate arrangement. Links to every other vendor go directly to the vendor’s own website, without payment, and carry rel="nofollow".
What affiliate links cannot change
- Scores. Every fit score comes from published formulas and the shared facts file; see the scoring methodology.
- Order. Rankings follow the published scoring methodology. A vendor cannot pay for a position.
- Copy. Vendors do not write, review or approve our pages.
Where you will see them
Affiliate links appear on ranked lists, software profiles, comparison pages and quiz results, next to the vendor’s name. Our guides link only to other pages on this site.
